Petah Tiqva

Petah Tikva, also spelled Petah Tiqwa and known informally as Em HaMoshavot, is a city located in the Central District of Israel. It is situated approximately 10.6 km (6.6 mi) east of Tel Aviv.

The city was founded in 1878 primarily by Haredi Jews from the Old Yishuv. It transitioned into a permanent settlement in 1883, supported by financial assistance from Edmond Rothschild.
