Lod, also known as Lydda or Lidd, is a city located in the Central District of Israel. It is situated approximately 15 km southeast of Tel Aviv and 40 km northwest of Jerusalem. Geographically, the city lies between the coastal plain to the west and the lower Shephelah region to the east.
The city had a population of 94,189 in 2024. It serves as a populated urban center within the central region of the country.
