The West Village is a neighborhood located in the western section of the larger Greenwich Village area within Lower Manhattan, New York City. It is situated along the Hudson River to its west and is bounded by 14th Street to the north.
The specific eastern boundaries of the West Village are variously identified as Greenwich Avenue, Seventh Avenue, or Sixth Avenue. Its southern boundary is defined as either Houston Street or Christopher Street.
