Waterford is a city located in County Waterford in the south-east of Ireland. Situated within the province of Munster, the city sits at the head of Waterford Harbour.
It holds the distinction of being the oldest city in the Republic of Ireland. As of the 2022 census, the city and its suburbs had a population of 60,079 people, making it the fifth most populous city in the country and the ninth most populous settlement on the island of Ireland.
