Teminabuan

Teminabuan is an administrative district (distrik) located in the South Sorong Regency of Southwest Papua, Indonesia. The district encompasses the town of Kaibus and its northern suburb, Kohoin. Geographically, the town of Kaibus is situated in the southwestern-central portion of the Bird's Head Peninsula.

The population of Teminabuan grew from 11,627 in the 2010 Census to 19,491 in the 2020 Census, with an official estimate of 20,648 as of mid-2024. The area was a site of conflict during the Papua conflict, where it was bombed by the Indonesian National Army between January and March 1967. Transportation to the region is served by Teminabuan Airport.
