Tanjung Selor is a town and administrative district located in Indonesia. It serves as the capital of both the North Kalimantan province and the Bulungan Regency. The district covers an area of 677.77 km2 according to official regency statistics.
As of 2025, Tanjung Selor is notable for being one of several provincial capitals in Indonesia that do not yet hold city status. Population data shows the town grew from 39,439 residents in the 2010 Census to an estimated 67,837 by mid-2025.
