Malinau

Malinau Kota is a district and the regency seat of Malinau Regency, located in the North Kalimantan province of Indonesia. As the largest town within the regency, it serves as its primary economic center.

The town functions as a gateway for interior villages and towns surrounding the Heart of Borneo, specifically providing access to neighboring areas such as the Krayan region in Nunukan Regency. As of mid-2022, Malinau Kota had a recorded population of 27,736 residents.
