Watansoppeng is a town located in the South Sulawesi province of Indonesia. It serves as the administrative capital of the Soppeng Regency and is situated in the southern central region of the province.
Geographically, the town is positioned on the western side of the Walanae River. It is located approximately 100 kilometres (62 mi) by air northwest of the port city of Makassar.
