Takalar Regency is a regency located in the South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. It covers a total land area of 566.51 km2 and is situated entirely within the official metropolitan area of the city of Makassar.
The population of the regency was recorded at 300,853 during the 2020 census, with an estimated population of 335,846 for mid-2025. The administrative center of the regency is Pattallassang, while Galesong serves as another principal town.
