Masamba

Masamba is a small river town and district (kecamatan) located in the North Luwu Regency of the South Sulawesi Province in Indonesia. It serves as the administrative seat of the regency and is situated along the Patikala River. The district covers a total area of 1,068.85 km2.

The region's geography is characterized largely by swampy coastal plains featuring mangroves in its shallow waters. As of the mid-2023 official estimate, Masamba has a population of approximately 39,266 people. The town is served by Andi Jemma Airport for transportation access.
