Jeneponto Regency is a regency located in the South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. It occupies a significant portion of the south coast of the southern peninsula of Sulawesi, covering a total land area of 796.00 km2. The principal town of the regency is Bontosunggu.
The geography of the region is characterized by diverse elevations. The northern section consists of a plateau ranging from 500 to 1400 metres above sea level, while the middle part sits between 100 and 500 metres. The southern portion features lowland areas with altitudes between 0 and 150 metres, including a coastline extending 114 km along the Flores Sea.
Demographic data shows steady growth in the region over recent decades. According to census records, the population was 342,222 in 2010 and increased to 401,610 by 2020. The official estimate for the mid-2025 population is projected to be 426,298.
