Selat Panjang

Selat Panjang is the capital city of Kepulauan Meranti Regency, located in the Riau province of Indonesia. The regency was officially established on December 19, 2008, following its separation from Bengkalis Regency.

The city is situated on Tebing Tinggi Island, which is separated from the mainland of Sumatra by a narrow channel. Geographically, it lies across the Strait of Malacca from Singapore.
