Dumai is a coastal city located in the Riau Province on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. It is situated approximately 188 km from Pekanbaru, which serves as the provincial capital. The city covers a total area of 2,065.59 km2 and had an estimated population of 349,389 in mid-2024.
