Bangkinang

Bangkinang is a town located in the Riau Province of Indonesia. It serves as the administrative capital of the Kampar Regency and is situated approximately 60 km (37 mi) from Pekanbaru, which is the provincial capital of Riau.

Due to its status as the regency capital, Bangkinang serves as a key connection point between the provincial capital and the region of West Sumatra. The majority of the town's population follows the Muslim faith.
