Fakfak is an administrative district located in the West Papua Province of Indonesia. The district encompasses an area of 233 km² and serves as the seat of the Fakfak Regency. It contains two urban villages, North Fakfak and South Fakfak, which together constitute the town of Fakfak.
The population of the district grew from 12,566 in the 2010 Census to 18,900 in 2020, with a mid-2024 estimate of approximately 17,718 residents. The town is served by Fakfak Airport and is notable for being the only town in West Papua with a significant Muslim Indian and Arab Indonesian presence.
