Tangerang is a city located in the province of Banten, Indonesia. It serves as the most populous city within that province and ranks as the sixth largest city proper in the nation.
Geographically, Tangerang is situated on the western border of Jakarta and shares a boundary with South Tangerang city. The city is notably home to Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, which functions as the primary airport serving the greater Jakarta metropolitan area.
