Sukamara Regency is one of thirteen regencies located in the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo) in Indonesia. The regency was officially established on April 10, 2002, following its formation from the former southwest portion of West Kotawaringin Regency.
The administrative center of Sukamara Regency is situated in the town of Padang, which had a population of 6,555 as of mid-2023. The regency covers a total area of 3,827 km2 and has experienced steady population growth, rising from 44,952 in the 2010 Census to an estimated 68,980 by mid-2025.
