Tondano is a city located in the highlands of Sulawesi, Indonesia. It serves as the capital of Minahasa Regency and is situated primarily within the district of West Tondano.
The city is positioned on the shores of Lake Tondano near Mount Tondano, an area characterized by cool temperatures. It can be reached from Manado by traveling approximately 35 km to the south via Tomohon city, or through alternative routes via Kecamatan Tombulu to the east and Airmadidi to the northeast.
