Sukabumi is a landlocked city located in the southern foothills of Mount Gede in West Java, Indonesia. It is situated approximately 100 km (62 mi) south of the national capital, Jakarta.
The city is geographically surrounded by the regency of the same name. Its location in the southern foothills provides a distinct geographical setting within the province.
