Parung is a town and administrative district (kecamatan) located in Indonesia. It is situated near the southwestern suburb of South Jakarta but remains officially within the jurisdiction of the Bogor Regency.
The district covers an area of 25.86 km2. According to census data, the population was 112,529 in 2010 and grew to 123,078 by 2020, with a mid-2023 estimate of approximately 128,905 residents.
Geographically, Parung serves as a transit point for travelers moving between Jakarta and Bogor via the western alternative road.
