Condong

Indonesia

Condong is a traditional Balinese dance performed in Indonesia. It is frequently presented as an introductory piece to the legong dance and is typically accompanied by the semar pangulingan style of gamelan music.

The term also refers to a specific stock character within Balinese performing arts. This character serves as a quintessential representation of a maidservant and appears in several traditional forms, including the condong, legong, gambuh, and arja dances.
