Cirebon is a port city situated on the northern coast of the Indonesian island of Java. It serves as the only coastal city within the province of West Java and is located approximately 297 km east of Jakarta and about 40 km west of the provincial border with Central Java.
The city's geographical coordinates are 6°43′S 108°34′E. According to census data, the population grew from 296,389 in 2010 to 333,303 in 2020, with an official estimate of 344,851 as of mid-2024.
