Daruba is a city located in Indonesia. It is situated within the Morotai Island Regency, which is part of the North Maluku province.
The regency encompasses an area of 2,336.6 km2 on Morotai island, including the smaller Rao Island to the west. The region is characterized by its diverse linguistic landscape; the population of the southern third of the island and Rao Island are Galela speakers, while those in the northern two-thirds are Tobalo speakers.
