Perbaungan

Perbaungan is a town and administrative district (kecamatan) located in the Serdang Bedagai Regency of North Sumatra province, Indonesia. It covers an area of 111.62 km² and had a recorded population of 118,589 in mid-2024.

The town serves as the primary gateway for travelers entering the Serdang Bedagai Regency from the direction of Medan. Historically, Perbaungan was the capital of the former Sultanate of Serdang; however, the sultanate's center of government and the Darul Arif Palace were located in the nearby town of Galuh.
