Kotapinang is a town and administrative district located in the North Sumatra province of Indonesia. It serves as the seat of government for the South Labuhan Batu Regency.
The regency was officially created on July 21, 2008, following its formation from the southern districts of the existing Labuhanbatu Regency. As of mid-2023, the town had a population of 24,575 inhabitants.
