Sijunjung Regency, formerly known as Sawahlunto Sijunjung, is an inland regency located in the province of West Sumatra, Indonesia. The region covers a total area of 3,150.58 km2 and serves as an administrative division within the island's western highlands.
The regency seat is situated in the town of Muaro Sijunjung. It was established following the administrative separation of Sawahlunto town, which became a city independent of the former Sawahlunto Regency. Following this separation, the remaining territory was renamed to Sijunjung Regency.
Demographic data indicates that the population grew from 201,823 in the 2010 census to 235,045 in the 2020 census. As of mid-2025, the official population estimate for the regency is approximately 249,790.
