Pariaman is a coastal city located in the province of West Sumatra, Indonesia. The name "Pariaman" translates to "safe area." It covers a total land area of 64.97 km2 (25 sq mi) and features a coastline extending 12 km (7 mi).
The city has experienced steady population growth over the last two decades. According to census data, the population was 79,043 in 2010 and reached 94,224 by 2020, with an official estimate of approximately 104,970 as of mid-2025.
