Bonjol

Bonjol is a district (kecamatan) located in the Pasaman Regency within the province of West Sumatera, Indonesia. It is primarily an agricultural area where approximately 75% of the local population works as farmers.

The region is notable for its geographical position on the equator line. Additionally, Bonjol is recognized as the birthplace of Tuanku Imam Bonjal, a prominent national hero known for his role in the historical struggle against Dutch colonial rule.
