Luwuk is the capital city of Banggai Regency, located in the province of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The city covers a total area of 72.82 km2 following boundary changes that occurred in 2012 and 2015.
According to the 2020 census, Luwuk had a population of 34,849 residents. The region was historically known for having an oil industry.
