Ruteng

Ruteng is a town located in the highlands toward the western end of Flores Island in Indonesia. It serves as the administrative capital of the Manggarai Regency and is accessible via the Frans Sales Lega Airport, also known as Ruteng Airport.

The local population is predominantly Roman Catholic but continues to preserve the ancient Manggarai custom of caci. This traditional practice is commonly performed during weddings and serves as a notable tourist attraction for visitors to the region.
