Maumere is a city located on the north coast of Flores Island in Indonesia. It serves as the administrative seat of the Sikka Regency and holds the distinction of being the second largest town on the island.
The town's port is situated in its north-west section. Administratively, Maumere is not organized as a single district; instead, it is divided into three districts: Alok Barat, Alok, and Alok Timur. The latter two districts also encompass several substantial islands located off the north coast of Flores.
