Hewa is a city located in Indonesia.
The name Hewa is also associated with an indigenous people residing in the Koroba Lake Kopiago Electorate of Hela Province in Papua New Guinea, near the junction of the Strickland River. This group numbers approximately 2,000 people and inhabits a rugged rainforest terrain spanning about 1,000 square miles (2,590 km2). Some areas of this territory remained unexplored by outside society until 2008.
The Hewa people were among the last groups in Papua New Guinea to establish contact with the outside world. Their language is classified as part of the Sepik Hills family.
