Sangiang is an island located midway in the Sunda Strait, situated between the Indonesian islands of Sumatra and Java. Administratively, it is classified as part of the Banten province of western Java.
The island currently holds the status of a nature reserve. It is also noted for its geographical significance regarding infrastructure, as one current design for an ambitious Sunda Strait Bridge proposes to have a portion of the structure cross the island.
