Donggo

Indonesia

Donggo is a Manchu clan and surname historically recognized as one of the Eight Great Manchu Clans during the Qing dynasty. The members of this clan were primarily descendants or kinsmen of Hohori, who was one of the Five Great Ministers responsible for assisting Nurhaci in the founding of the Later Jin.

The clan originated from the Irgen Gioro clan of the Warka tribe. They eventually settled at Donggo River, a tributary of the Tunggiya River, where they established themselves as the ruling chieftains of the region. Despite consisting of only nineteen households during its early period, the clan held twenty hereditary company commands within the Eight Banners.
