Puruk Cahu is a town located in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. It serves as the regency seat of Murung Raya Regency and is situated approximately 322 km northeast of Palangka Raya, which is the capital city of the province.
The geographical area of the town primarily encompasses two kelurahan within the district of Murung: Beriwit and Puruk Cahu. As of 2024, the population of Puruk Cahu was recorded at 2,843 residents, while the neighboring kelurahan of Beriwit had a larger population of 20,919 inhabitants.
