Buntok is a town located in the Dusun Selatan administrative district within the Central Kalimantan province of Indonesia. It serves as the regency seat of South Barito Regency and is situated approximately 197 km east of Palangka Raya, which is the capital city of the province.
The town is composed of two urban kelurahan: Buntok Kota to the north and Hilir Seper to the south. While both areas are distinct administrative divisions, the entire town area is commonly referred to as Buntok by the local population. As of 2024, the population of Buntok Kota was recorded at 15,969 people, while Hilir Seper had a population of 14,996.
