Marabahan (specifically Marabahan Kota) serves as the capital city of Barito Kuala Regency. It is located in the southwestern portion of the South Kalimantan province in Indonesia.
The regency surrounding the city covers a land area of 2,425.83 km2 and borders Central Kalimantan province to the west. To the east, the region is separated from Banjarmasin and other local regencies by the lower reaches of the Barito River.
