Kandangan is an administrative district (kecamatan) and a town located in Indonesia. It serves as the regency seat for South Hulu Sungai Regency within the province of South Kalimantan.
The district covers a total area of 106.71 square kilometres (41.20 sq mi). As of mid-2024 official estimates, the population of Kandangan was 50,691 people, distributed across four urban kelurahan and fourteen rural villages.
