Amuntai is a town located in Indonesia and serves as the capital of the North Hulu Sungai Regency. It is situated within the province of South Kalimantan.
The North Hulu Sungai Regency was established through the bifurcation of the original Hulu Sungai Regency. The region currently covers a land area of 907.72 km² and has experienced steady population growth, with an official estimate of approximately 238,250 residents as of mid-2024.
