Putussibau is an Indonesian town located in the Kapuas Hulu Regency of West Kalimantan. It is situated along the Kapuas River, with the primary urban area established on the north bank (right bank) of the waterway.
While Putussibau is officially designated as an administrative village within the North Putussibau District, the actual settlement extends across the river to the opposite bank. According to 2015 estimates from Statistics Indonesia, the population of the town proper is approximately 12,459.
