Bengkayang Regency is a regency located in the West Kalimantan Province of Indonesia. It serves as an administrative division that was established on April 20, 1999, following the division of the larger Sambas Regency due to population growth. The town of Bengkayang serves as the official administrative center for the region.
The regency covers a total area of 5,382.74 km2. Its population grew from 215,277 in the 2010 Census to an estimated 307,823 by mid-2025. Historically, Singkawang City was also part of the territory before being separated into its own entity on June 21, 2001.
