Depok

Depok is a landlocked city located in the West Java province of Indonesia. Situated directly south of Jakarta, it serves as the third largest urban center within the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area, covering a total area of approximately 199.91 km2.

The city became an independent municipality on April 20, 1999, after previously being part of the Bogor Regency. It is recognized as a significant hub for commerce and education in the region. As of mid-2024, Depok has an estimated population of 2,163,635, making it the second most populous suburban city in Indonesia and one of the ten most populous suburban cities globally.
