Wonokromo

Indonesia

Wonokromo is an administrative district (kecamatan) located in the city of Surabaya, Indonesia. It serves as a local hub within the urban landscape, characterized by its proximity to key transportation and commercial landmarks.

The area is served by the Wonokromo railway station and is home to DTC, which was formerly known as the Wonokromo Market. Geographically, the district is associated with the Kalimas River system; while the river originally turned north, it now empties into Tanjung Perak and Kali Jagir, a manmade branch that connects to the sea via a dam built by the Dutch.
