Pacitan Regency is an administrative region located in the southwestern corner of East Java Province, Indonesia. It shares its western and northern borders with Wonogiri Regency, its eastern borders with Ponorogo and Trenggalek Regencies, and its southern coastline along the Indian Ocean. The regency covers a total area of 1,389.87 km².

The town of Pacitan serves as the capital of the regency. As of mid-2024, the official population estimate is approximately 588,718 people. The majority of the local population identifies Javanese as their primary language, while Indonesian is commonly spoken as a second language.
