Mojokerto is a city located in the East Java Province of Indonesia. It is situated approximately 40 km southwest of Surabaya, which serves as the provincial capital.
The city is one of the component units of the Surabaya metropolitan area, an urban region that also includes the regencies and cities of Gresik, Bangkalan, Mojokerto Regency, Sidoarjo, and Lamongan. Covering a total area of 20.21 km², the city's population grew from 120,196 in the 2010 census to an estimated 142,272 by mid-2024.
