Kedungbanteng is a village (desa) and an administrative district (kecamatan) situated in the eastern portion of the Tegal Regency. It is located within the Central Java Province of Indonesia.
The district encompasses a total land area of 82.75 km2 and had an estimated population of 48,737 as of mid-2023. The administrative headquarters of Kedungbanteng is positioned approximately 8 km from the center of the regency in Slawi Town.
