Jember Regency is a regency located in the East Java province of Indonesia. It covers a land area of 3,314.13 km2 and serves as an administrative region with a population that reached an official estimate of 2,615,874 by mid-2024.
The administrative capital of the regency is the urban area of Jember. While it is the third largest urban area in East Java province, it does not hold municipality or city status because it is divided among three separate administrative districts (kecamatan). The urban area had a population of 369,415 as of mid-2024.
The region is notably recognized for its tobacco farms and the production of tape, a traditional food item made from fermented cassava.
