Gresik Regency is an administrative regency located in the East Java Province of Indonesia. It encompasses a significant portion of the northern and western suburbs of the city of Surabaya, as well as the offshore Bawean Island, which lies approximately 125 km north of Java and Madura.
The region is characterized by its extensive coastline, which accounts for nearly one-third of the regency's total area. The coastal zone includes several specific districts, namely Kebomas, Gresik, Manyar, Bungah, and Ujungpangkah.
