Duwet, also known as Guwot or Waing, is a city located in Indonesia. However, it is primarily recognized in linguistic contexts as an aberrant member of the Busu subgroup of Lower Markham languages. It is situated in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea.
The Duwet language is spoken by approximately 400 people across three specific villages: Lambaip, Lawasumbileng, and Ninggiet. The language is characterized by heavy influence from its neighboring Nabak language, which belongs to the Papuan Trans–New Guinea language family.
