Wonopringgo

Wonopringgo is a village and administrative district located in the Pekalongan Regency of Central Java Province, Indonesia. Situated south of the city of Pekalongan, it serves as a local administrative area within the region.

Historically, Wonopringgo was an important center for sugar production during the Dutch East Indies period. The Karang Anjer Factory operated in the area starting at least in the 1830s, with the factory initially managed by a Chinese individual. During this era, the village also saw operations involving the Amsterdam-based Netherlands Trading Company.
